Should my ear look like this? (Photo)

Question

Had ear surgery for almost 2 years ago and still think my ears look asymmetrical and weird. One of the ears also have a pointy antihelical fold which a think look extremely ugly and unnatural. Should it look and feel like this or can ut be reversible. I just think that I made a terrible mistake and would never done this if I knew the outcome :( And yes I may have BDD so this surgery did not help to be honest.

A photo of your other ear would help determine the extent of asymmetry. Based on the single photo provided, however, the rim can be rounded if it’s causing you concern. However, please note that asymmetry is actually the norm, so slight variations in shape/size are typical. If you are looking for perfect symmetry, it is not possible.

Hello, hope you are well. The photo that you include here shows a somewhat angulated helix ("pointy"). If it's really bothersome to you, it can be made more rounded with a simple office procedure under local anesthesia. On the other hand, this is likely something that very few people would notice at a glance, and only if you bring their attention to it.

Look carefully at other people's ears - there is a lot of variation among humans and most people have asymmetry to a greater or lesser extent.  I think your ear has an entirely acceptable appearance and very normal (whatever 'normal' is).  the problem is mostly related to your perception and hyperanalysis of your ear - nobody who knows or meets you would ever consider that your ear was abnormal or disturbing by its appearance.  My best advice is to be happy, or at least accepting with the appearance of your ear.  Further attempts to make adjustments or fine-tune this or your contralateral ear may well be unsuccessful or perhaps even make things worse.
