Hi I had primarty rhinoplasty in 2023, revision in 2024. My nose was very crooked after primary, I also had valve collapse and breathing problems. My natural nose had slim bridge, now after revision is wide and tip is wide too, spreader grafts were used to correct crookedness. Can another revision fix the width issue and how? Im attaching pictures for your evaluaton.
Hi, I've an internal nasal valve collapse. Few doctors has adviced me to get a lateral wall own rib cartilage implant. I'm very active on contact sports and especially on soccer. I've been wondering if I will be able to play the same as before. After 6/12 months of recovery, what would happen if I get hit on the face from a ball? Can it damage the implants?
I had a rhinoplasty done and it went well, the doctor was able to fix my bones, my collapsed nasal valve and septum, and within a month some drunk lady accidentally struck me in the face and now my nose is all messed up. Can it be fixed again?
Went in for sinus surgery, was told I have nasal valve collapse and deviated septum. I did not have a deviated septum but was convinced to do minor cosmetic things that would help me breath better. Long story short I have a notched nostril and a nose that does not look like mine (was not supposed to change appearance). I know I need a revision, but who is best for fixing a notched nostril. I have been told its very difficult.
Hello! I had a rhinoplasty April 30, 2020. After healing, I noticed my nostrils were/are very blocked. I've gone back to my surgeon multiple times in the past 1.5 years and he first said allergies, then gave me nasal cones to push back. Those didn't do anything but I was breathing SOO much better with them in. He then gave me steroids shots which didn't do anything. Finally, he clipped a little bit up into my nose which seemed to help very slightly. Looking for advice. B&A pics posted.
Hello, I have several issues with my nose after a primary rhinoplasty. First, my nasal valves have collapsed. What is the fix for these and can it be done in a closed procedure? Second, I have severe alar notching. What can be done to fix this issue?
I'm am approx 2 years post septorhinoplasty, and the middle region of my nose seems to collapse inward, making it difficult to breathe. If I push these areas out and hold them there, I can breathe a lot better. My surgeon has stated that my septum has redeviated to my left and that he can straighten it, but he does not believe that I have breathing issues on both sides. To me, it feels like there is insufficient side support. Does this look like valve collapse (both sides) or other?
I have a very tiny indent on the right side of my nose. Its only noticeable in harsh light. Im not sure how long it has been there. Am I over thinking this or is this Middle Valve Collapse? My nose was naturally very thin, so the sides have not been surgically changed. Only dorsal hump and tip. Help?
Hi RealSelf Community, 8 months ago I underwent ablation of the inferior turbinate, septoplasty, and repair for nasal stenosis. I'm concerned about the persistent swelling in my nose. My nose looks wider than before, which my surgeon initially assured me would not be a result of the procedures. I'm including pre and post op pictures to give a better idea of the changes. Should swelling last this long? Any way to reduce swelling? The nasal valve collapse has not done anything, what to do?
Over the years my nasal bridge irregularities are getting more noticeable especially in cold weather. I have really thin skin to the point where even before my rhinoplasty the underlying cartilages could be seen. Is the only way to fix this to add grafts and increase size of nose? I want to seek consults but I just need a general outlook to help guide my in my efforts seeking a revision rhinoplasty surgeon
