Hello and thank you for your question. Nostril asymmetry can usually be corrected during a revision by releasing all scar tissue and placing alar contour grafts and tensioning the tip. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Much more information is needed, such as a full set of facial and nasal photographs from all angles to make a determination about how best to proceed, since revision rhinoplasty is the most difficult procedure to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery. In addition, a copy of the operative report would be helpful for your next surgeon to understand what was accomplished in the first procedure. When the nostrils are significantly retracted, a composite graft from the ear, composed both skin and cartilage is placed on the inside of the nostril to bring that alar rim downwards.
