Fix for functional issues and notching? (Photo)

Question

Hello, I have several issues with my nose after a primary rhinoplasty. First, my nasal valves have collapsed. What is the fix for these and can it be done in a closed procedure? Second, I have severe alar notching. What can be done to fix this issue?

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a revision to correct the alar retraction and collapse.  This can be treated by placing extended alar contour grafts and other maneuvers. The vast majority of revisions should always be done open to get the best result. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
