Dear Doctors of realself, I have had Rhinoplasty in Turkey by a reputable surgeon 10 years ago, At first it took a long time for the swelling to go down. Ever since then, there seems to have developed a kind of indentation on the left side of my nose. It seems to get worse over time. It is obvious in pictures and from the side it looks like a pulled line for the lack of a better word. What is this and how can it be fixed? Many thanks in advance!
Hi I had a septoplasty/rhinoplasty done where I asked the doctor to shave the sides of my bridge and fix my tip as I wasnt happy with the previous rhinoplasty I had several years ago. I now have 2 pinhole indentations on the side of my nose and what looks to be a dorsal hump that I never had before. Doctor says I need to be patient but the pinholes are painful to the touch and my nose looks worse then how I started . Can anyone tell me what these indents are and why I have a new hump? TIA
In my first rhinoplasty too much cartilage has been removed from the sides of my nose tip/ the stitches were pulled too tight. As a result, I have developed a lot of scar tissue on one side of my tip, which feels like a hard bump and is white with an indention next to it. The scar tissue also protrudes into the nostril. Is it possible to correct the unevenness in a revision rhinoplasty? I have very thin skin. If scar tissue can be removed, will it come back if the initial problem is solved?
I previously posted about this, but I've noticed dents or indentations on the sides of my nose, right above my nostrils. They are particularly visible in front-view photos and have become the most bothersome aspect of my post-septorhinoplarty results which was almost 13 months ago. Can these be corrected during a revision? Is it possible? I've attached my post-op report and current photos of my nose for reference. I did not have this issue before my surgery
I had a rhinoplasty 2 years ago. Overall I am happy with the result, however there is an indent and a bump on the cartilage on one side. I have discussed it with my surgeon and he does not think a revision is needed but he offered to shave down the bump on that one side. Should mention that alar rim grafts were done and this bump was present in the post op pictures. My nose deviates to one side slightly and the right nostril is smaller. Im nervous that shaving the cartilage will enhance this.
My nose looks asymmetrical from the front view. my nostrils were reduced too much (they used to be rounder), the left one doesn't look natural. And, the dorsum on the right side appears depressed. My columella is inclined, and I have an indented scar on the columella and the green area is depressed. Is there something to do?, specially with the Asymmetric nasal wing and the scar? I'd not like to undergo another open rhinoplasty but correct these defects in the least invasive ways
I noticed this weird slant right after surgery which I told my surgeon the same day and it's been getting more prominent the more I'm healing is this normal or does this look like swelling? Or is my septum still deviated?
I have a very tiny indent on the right side of my nose. Its only noticeable in harsh light. Im not sure how long it has been there. Am I over thinking this or is this Middle Valve Collapse? My nose was naturally very thin, so the sides have not been surgically changed. Only dorsal hump and tip. Help?
Hello, a noticed that one of the stitches tore on my columella Right after surgery and I belive that is what caused this indentation. I will include photos after the surgery and currently. What needs to be done to fix this? The indentation is on my left side while my right looks fine. But now looking straight forward because of the left indentation the whole thing looks crooked.
I had rhino two monthsago and as the swelling has gone down, an indentation on the right side above my nostril has become more prominent. The left side is fine. What could have caused this and how can it be fixed? Im trying not to panic but Im getting worried as its really noticeable.
