I'm 10 months post op Revision Rhinoplasty My nose always looks red/discolored. I notice it more in pictures than in person, but it's also discolored in person. Is this normal? I don't feel like it is. I also need another revision And I'm scared to cut into my nose again and it fall off.
I had revision rhino with rib about 4.5 months ago (significant augmentation of the nose after being deprojected in 2 previous surgeries. Was told by revision experts that I needed projection back in order to achieve my goal of being able to breathe) and my nose is still turning purple. It's not constant but it happens a few times a day , especially after I shower or am in the bathroom. It was really purple/reddish earlier today and I noticed when I touch it lightly, it blanches.
Recently a bruise-like discolouration appear on nose bridge. I had redness on the bridge but it faded and suddenly it expanded to cause red purple hue at the lower part. I had rhinoplasty about 5-6 months ago. Tender when pressed on the impacted area, tried antibiotics course but seems like no use. No swelling just concern on the expanded red purple discolouration and surgeon said its normal? The thing is it was not like this before and it got worst.
I had a revision rhinoplasty 6 months ago. The bridge of my nose has a permanent discoloration/bruise on it. My doctor initially tried filler to correct it, but it only looks worse. How can this be corrected? Thank you in advance for your advice.
I had an open rhinoplasty a year ago (dorsal hump removal, alar rim+spreader grafts from septum). I don't like my nostrils from the front, one side is lower making the tip look crooked, I hoped it was just swelling but a year later it's still there. In the last few days it's gone red on the dropped side and is sore (after I switched nasal spray and clearing my nose more). Is the discolouration something I need to worry about? Is there a minor procedure to lift the dropped alar rim?
I had revision rhinoplasty with my surgeon about 4 years ago. There were minor things I didnt like but tried to accept my nose. I finally went to my surgeon to see my options this past Friday. I wanted to rasp a slight hump on bridge and he said no to that since I have soft tissue and gave me a Kenalog shot instead after 4 years and now I have a dark discoloration on my nose. Its been 3 days. Should he inject normal saline weekly for a month to reverse it or how? What are my options to fix it?
is this normal?? I had revision done using my rib this time, June 12th. Not only can i not breathe still ( reason for doing this) my tip looks really funny. It's a redish purple ;(. Normal?
I had a revision rhinoplasty 5 months ago and my surgeon put a silicone implant in to raise my bridge. Ever since, it has been loose on my nose (I can move it side to side, and not just a little) and it has started to shift to the left and raise on the right. My nose is also discolored (small, red blood vessels) and it actually feels tight on my nose even though I can move the implant around. What's going on here and what are my options? Do I have it removed and replaced with something else?
Hi Drs. I am almost 3 weeks post revision rhino and ever since the cast came off I've had a dark spot at the side of my tip. At first I thought it was the ink from the marker staining my skin...but its still there! Swelling has gone down a bit and I've notice a slight indent too. What im most worried about is the spot though. It looks like I constantly have dirt on my face :( I think it may be getting worse or maybe thats just anxiety. Regardless, what's happening? Thanks!
