Is it normal for my nose to be this red/discolored after revision rhinoplasty? (Photo)

I'm 10 months post op Revision Rhinoplasty My nose always looks red/discolored. I notice it more in pictures than in person, but it's also discolored in person. Is this normal? I don't feel like it is. I also need another revision And I'm scared to cut into my nose again and it fall off.

Hello and thank you for your question. It can be normal to have some discoloration after revision Rhinoplasty especially after five or more surgeries in some patients. Your picture doesn’t look too discolored however. Time should continue to help you.   I recommend that you maintain close follow up with your surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

If you would like to do something proactive, please consider consulting with an expert in IPL treatments for rosacea. Intense pulsed light tends to collapse the small capillaries that can cause unwanted redness. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
