I had a rrhinoplasty a while ago, so all the swelling has subsided. I had a deviated septum surgery, and a columella strut graft. What concerns me is that I feel my columella is far too elongated now. In my opinion, it stretches and elevates out my nostrils in a really unnatural way. I feel like it also makes my nasal base too narrow, and doesn't flatter my wide facial features. Would removing/trimming my columella graft help to relieve some of tension of my nose?
I had a rhinoplasty procedure 1. 5 months ago. I had my procedure done overseas so I don't have access to my surgeon and am desperate for some help. A very large graft was placed in my columella, not only does it look too big and make me look like I have big nostrils, the graft seems to come down quite far and I am feeling constant pressure in my upper gums and it causes upper tooth pain. Can this graft be removed by a local surgeon as soon as possible or do I have to wait?
Hello dear doctors, 10 Months ago I had my primary open surgery. I realized in order to have my natural frontal view and nose height, not only tip projection, but columella longening is required, am I right? So I had these questions: 1. is it manageable to enlongen columella through closed revision? (columellar strut) 2. is widening my bridge, alar base and tip projection with ear cartilage through a closed revision possible? (ear cartilage would not be absorbed in a few years..?) 3. How much likely is it to achieve a natural result like 4th pic? 4. as long as I know, the thing that limits the surgery is skin shortness. so since in closed revision, no skin is shortened, if I don't get the desired results, will it be safe to just pass and go for another opened revision without losing anything? Thank you for your time
So I had my surgery 13months ago and I don't like what the surgeon has done to my columella, I know it hanged but I like the look for it as it was ethnic, is there any way of achieving the same so of columella look I had before- like I don't know if this will make sense but even my columella was thicker than before now it is very thin- I loved the diamond shape it produced, I will need to have surgery anyways as I am having breathing issues- any advice on how to achieve it techniques etc
(Revision rhinoplasty) I have case where I've had a one primary rhinoplasty and now a revision. I am not happy with the results from the this last surgery, as it looks unnatural in my opinion. There is no columellar show, and too much of a curve from the side. My nose doesn't match my ethnicity/face:( what can be done? I want a lengthened columella and the curve gone.
I had primary rhinoplasty 6 months ago and have been utterly disappointed with the results. The job seemed quite sloppy and the issues Ive had with my nose havent gone away. All advice says to consult the original dr when things seem off but i was told it was only swelling, even though my concerns werent withswelling. My tip is twisted, columella lifted along with tip, and nostrils absolutely horrible shaped. I also have pretty severe scars. First 3photos are my original nose, the rest now
Can i remove the grafts placed to deproject and derotate the tip? Costal cartilage graft was removed and shaped with oblique split method. A septal extension graft 1.5 cm wide and 3 cm long was placed on the caudal end of the septum. Bilateral cephalic trimming was performed. A bilateral 2mm lateral crus steal was madeand a dome triangle was created with cephalic dome sutures. The dome equalizing suture was fixed onthe septal extension graft and Columellar Strut was fixed to septal extension
Hi, I had surgery 5 months ago to fix a small hump on my bridge and slightly project the tip as it drooped when I smiled. Im unhappy with the results and unsure of the next steps. My doctor suggested a revision but I haven't seen him in person yet as hes abroad, and I'm struggling to find guidance here. Could fillers or a closed rhinoplasty address these issues? Recent photos show columella retraction. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!
The septal extension graft is making my nose extremely hard and stiff and i will like it removed. Can it be replaced with a columellar strut graft so the tip isn't as hard as a rock while still having some sort of structure?
