Doctor has no plan for revision, doesn’t see issues. What do I do!? (Photo)

The base of somebody's nose will retain swelling for 12 months or longer after rhinoplasty surgery. I can certainly see the asymmetries that you describe, however, they may improve over the next 6 months with some patience. Since digital photos rarely substitute for an examination, it may be helpful for you to get a second opinion about your nose so you could gain reassurance or Clarity to your situation. One of the key elements of performing a good revision surgery is that you and your surgeon see eye-to-eye on the problems and the proposed solutions. If the surgeon doesn't see an issue, then the chances are low that they will be able to correct it. You did the right thing by asking your original surgeon first, but sometimes it is necessary to get some different opinions, just like in all aspects of medicine and life. Try to identify some surgeons that specialize in revision rhinoplasty, since they will be able to give you the best advice. Just be aware that many will ask you to wait a few more months to allow for additional healing prior to consultation. Good luck to you!

Hello! Thank you for your question.I have evaluated your case from the photos you provided and I can say that your nostrils are really uneven, the tip is crooked and the nostrils are too close. I think your surgeon performed also an alar base plasty on you. I highly recommend you a revision rhinoplasty, you will most probably need rib cartilage reconstruction and external grafts for the nostrils to reshape the tip, make the nose straight again and correct the nostrils's shape.

The main idea is to be patient during the healing process. However, you may end up with a twisted nasal tip, as we cannot predict the outcome of your surgery. hello firstly so am deeply sorry for your unsuccessful surgeryUnfortunately your deviation issue is not because of swellings and it won’t be fixed over time.The swelling in your dorsum may slightly improved since you are already 6 months post op.In your case I can recommend you consider surgery but waiting for 3-4 months more will be better since swellings would be less so your surgeon can plan your nose more accurately!
