Can a septal extension graft be removed and replaced with a columellar strut graft for tip support?

The septal extension graft is making my nose extremely hard and stiff and i will like it removed. Can it be replaced with a columellar strut graft so the tip isn't as hard as a rock while still having some sort of structure?

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, I frequently remove septal extension grafts  during revisions, and it can be replaced with a columellar strut graft resulting in a less stiff tip.  With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
