I had microneedling done about 6 days ago at a reputable plastic surgeon's office. After this procedure (done in the morning) I made the mistake of putting on a heavy facial moisturizer that evening just before bed. Next day I woke up with a break out of sorts on my face. The breakout has lessened, and I have no itching, but my face is still quite red. Should I be concerned? And, would any kind of adverse affect like this, hamper the long term results of what is typically a good outcome for me?
Hi. I had a minor breakout that had mostly cleared before I received microneedling yesterdaynow I have quite a few large red bumps across my facecould the procedure have spread bacteria or is it normal to have a few minor red bumps/pimples 24H after?
What caused them? They have an appearance similar to white heads but there isn't anything in them. My face was clear before & I don't get breakouts. I was expecting the redness, tghtness and inflammation but not bumps. I'm am afraid to put anything on my skin other than use my hands to wash with water & Cetaphil & use the hyaluronic acid I was given. Is it ok to put a dot of Bentonite clay on each bump? What likely caused the bumps?
On darker skin what number should the microneedle be on from the 1st -3rd session ex: .075mm etc. To start and end on? Also what would be the wait time for session 2? Because I no going in to soon or graduating to soon for deeper microneedle will cause breakouts/hyperpigmentation, help!
I had a treatment with an off-brand skinpen type device by my dermatologist. Very trustworthy office. 1-2 weeks after my treatment(and for weeks beyond that)I broke out with awful cyst-like acne- very deep & far beyond normal for my skin. I have another treatment scheduled 1 week but my face is just recovering from round 1 pimples. Are breakouts like that normal from microneedling treatments with SkinPen? (Was seeking treatment for skin tone, texture, lines, etc.) Should I go back for round 2?
I've gotten microneedling done 3 times now. I still have active acne. The first time I did it I thought she'd avoid the active acne, but she didn't. Two more times after, I asked her to avoid the acne and she didn't. I've broken out badly all over my face every time afterwards, and I'm still breaking out from the last time she microneedled (which was weeks ago). I'm definitely going to take care of this acne before going back, but how long do you think it will take for it to go away?
Hi, I have an appointment in four days for my first microneedling (pen) session (I have already done 2 Fractora sessions), but I have a little breakout, 3/4 painful pimples (hard pimples) and I'm very worried that it can cause a big breakout :(
I've done microneedling twice now, and both times I've woken up the next day with a face full of whiteheads. However, it's been two weeks since my last microneedling and I am still waking up with 10+ new zits each day. I did have 2 active pimples that she didn't avoid with the needle. I'm at a loss because I don't possibly know how microneedling can be effective when it is causing so many breakouts. I can't go on acne medication for certain reasons. When will I stop breaking out?
Hi, so I tried microneedling, and applied snail and bee serum afterwards, and sealed it with an antibiotic ointment containing bacitracin Zinc and polymyxin b, mixed in just white petroleum. Is this fine? Will any of the ingredients in the antibiotic ointment cause breakouts?
