My recession is about 2 and 3 mm on just about every tooth. Changed after hitting thirty years old. They are advanced vertically by about 2mm in respect to the others. I feel some movement and the instability is rather disconcerting. Three different opinions: pinhole surgery with possible addition of permanent retainer to lower front, Invisalign on bottom and shave teeth down to match, or grafting. Please help. Every option is pricey and I don't have funds to squander. Thank you
This problem has been going on since quite some months. There is no pain, just occasional sensitivity. Do I urgently need a surgery or can I wait a year? What can be likely complications if I wait? Secondly, between a connective tissue graft and alloderm, what would be better for me?
I have a few questions and I was wondering how many teeth is it possible to do at a time during a gum graft? I'd like to get 4 of my uppers done (both lateral incisors and both premolars) and possibly 4-6 of my bottom teeth done (the first 4 or 6 front teeth at the bottom). I'd also like to know how it would look aesthetically. Is it possible to make it have perfect shaping like how it was normally?
I had a gum graft on #8 #9 and #10 6 weeks ago. When the stitches came off 3 weeks ago I was left with a divot between #9 and #10. My dentist said that it will fix itself in 6-8 weeks & that she's never seen one that didn't. I have seen little change in the past 3 weeks, but maybe because I'm looking ALL THE TIME. Also it does seem that the recession is increasing slowly on #10. Can new gum tissue continue to pull up and if so how long is that a risk after surgery?
So my tooth in the front on mouth was missing some gum and the doctors covered it up with gum from top of mouth it's been about 30 or so hours since surgery and I was eating a peace of Pork and felt the stitching coming lose it's not off or anything but loser is this something to be worried about or em I going to be ok if it was to come off I want the gums to heal and bond sorry for the bad photo
Nearly 2 months ago I had a gum graft for a recession above tooth #9. (It should be noted I have an implant on #10). Immediately after having the stitches removed, I noticed a large gap between the teeth, where the tissue used to peak. I was told I had delayed healing. The periodontist also said she didnt know where the tissue went or why it moved and everyone heals differently. My questions: Is the hole between my teeth the result of a poorly completed graft? Can it be fixed? If so, how?
The roof of my mouth where they took the tissue from is extremely sore. Where they place the tissue is very soft when I touch it. I also have a bad taste in my mouth, I'm using the mouth wash and am due to see the doctor in a week. I was told there would be pain, but it's getting worse not better could I have a problem?
