Nearly 2 months ago I had a gum graft for a recession above tooth #9. (It should be noted I have an implant on #10). Immediately after having the stitches removed, I noticed a large gap between the teeth, where the tissue used to peak. I was told I had delayed healing. The periodontist also said she didn’t know where the tissue went or why it moved and “everyone heals differently.” My questions: Is the hole between my teeth the result of a poorly completed graft? Can it be fixed? If so, how?
