This is normal healing.  The color and texture of the palatal tissue which we use for gum grafting is different from the gum area.  It will be lighter pink in color and a thicker/ better texture.  usually the tissue blends better as the graft matures.  Sometimes we can plasty (thin) and recontour this tissue  if the look bothers the patient .... but it is better to do this 8 -12 months after the initial surgery.  The tissue can not be thinned too much because it makes the site prone to more recession ...
