I has 380cc round umplants placed through my underarm in January and I feel like my breasts continue to setlle lower and lower despite my constant use of an underwire bra ( and victoria's secret knockout for first 4 months). Am I correct in thinking something is wrong here? Thanks! (Moved from 30B to 30DD)
Answer: Settling Lower I appears that your implants have increased the distance from the nipple to the breast fold to a measurement that is too long for your breast width. This can be from numerous reasons including poor selection of implant, poor surgical technique, poor tissue support, weak tissues, oversized implant, or a combination of all of these. I would recommend seeing a board certified or board eligible plastic surgeon with aesthetic surgery training/experience who can perform a full exam and provide safe recommendations.

Answer: Implants are too low Your implants have settled too far down on your chest, which is called bottoming out. It is related to lack of support of the implant or overdissection of the pocket. Decreased support of the implant can be because the implant is too larger and/or the soft tissues are too weak. You would need revisional surgery to put the implants in a better position. Unfortunately, a support bra would be of little use at this time. I would recommend visiting your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

Answer: Settling Breasts Hi Brandoo, Your breast continue to change shape sometimes over a year out from surgery. If you are ultimately not happy with the final position or shape of your breasts it is always best to speak directly with your surgeon to get a proper assessment of the healing process and what, to see if anything can be done at this point if needed. Sometimes a patient's own skin and breast tissue require extra support with an internal mesh bra to help support an implant. Best wishes, Dr. Andre P. Answer: I feel like my breasts are settling in too low. Is something wrong here? (Photo) Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. It appears you have bottoming out of your implants but an in-person examination of your tissues and a review of your "before" images would prove helpful. Unfortunately correction will require another surgery with a new incision placement.

Answer: BA results Dear brandoo, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
