How do cheek implants look? Sizes?

Question

How do they really look like and how many sizes can i choose from? What material is best? will the implant sag down or will it stay in place? Im 25, asian with a flat face and wish to have plumper cheeks and higher cheekbones. im very hesitated about the surgery since its so invasive. my other option is to get fat grafting

Cheek implants are usually made of silicone, also called silastic when in solid form. Other materials can be used but I don't recommend them. Implants will usually stay in place unless traumatized. The exact shape and size can be chosen. Customized CT formatted implants can also be produced.

Cheek implants are inserted through an intraoral approach placed in a sub- periosteal pocket directly over the maxilla under a brief general anesthetic as an outpatient surgical procedure

Hi,If you go to Implantech.com, you will see several different sizes and shapes of silicone cheek implants...HOWEVER, every ones face; bony and soft tissue features are different , so a small implant may look large in some patients and large implants may look small in others. You need to consult with your surgeon before the surgery, then during the surgery, once the implant pockets are made, the surgeon uses sizers to choose best implant for you based on consultation. They should be screwed into the cheek bone for stability. I use silicone, medpor can grow into the bone and soft tissue and if you ever have a problem or want to remove them it could be difficult.Hope this helps,Dr.S.
