I watched a video explaining how surgeons make an incision inside of the mouth and slide the implant through there. I had to stop watching because it grossed me out a lot. I really want high cheekbones but I'm scared about the amount of pain I'm going to experience and how long it'll take for me to heal. Will this procedure make eating , talking and brushing my teeth difficult?
Answer: Cheek implant pain Getting cheek implants is like any other surgery. With proper anesthesia, you should not have too much pain. For recovery, it can take about 3-6 months to heal, so it is important to be careful how you sleep to prevent malposition.

Answer: Cheek implant placement Placement of cheek implants takes approximately 30 minutes under a brief general anesthesia. The implants are placed directly over the bone in a precise pocket. Most patients take a few pain pills the first night or 2 in order to get some sleep. Patients also experienced a moderate amount of puffiness and swelling in the cheek area that will last for 2 weeks after the procedure. The swelling from the implants does not affect talking, but it may be difficult to eat a large hamburger for the first week
