When I was younger I had a slight underbite where my teeth would perfectly line on top of each other and my upper jaw did not have enough room for my canines to grow out.. For this reason I believe I have a recessed maxilla that makes my face and apples of my cheek, appear flat when I'm at rest. What type of treatment would be ideal? I've been considering cheek implants, filler, or last resort jaw surgery. Is there any surgery that can lift the entire maxilla (nose, cheekbone, etc.)?
I (underwent orthognathic surgery 6 months ago to treat a long face (Class II). My chin now looks very long and pointy for my taste, my mandible angle is thickening on one side, and the tip of my nose has collapsed forward. My surgeon says I look more proportional, but Im unhappy with the results. Im unsure whether my chin is too long from the side I feel I look a bit witch-like and I find my face is now too long and narrow. Im considering cheek implants (unsure whether to widen my face or just add frontal projection), a mandible angle implant, and/or chin height reduction. My aim is a more youthful, cute, and shorter face. After surgery, I feel my face already long now looks even longer and less attractive. Could this be due to swelling? Should I wait longer before making a decision? Im also scheduled for a rhinoplasty soon to provide more support to the tip of my nose. Im unsure when and whether I should pursue implants afterwards.29F
I think my face lacks definition. I am getting a rhinoplasty and a chin implant. My doctor says it should help with a more defined face. I would like a defined jawline and a more contoured or define cheekbones. What do you all suggest? Im looking for a permanent fix so surgical procedures. Also, what can I do with the fat around my mouth- perioral mounds?
Hi, I am considering custom cheekbone/orbital rim implants to cover the area, since I lack volume. Outside of rhinoplasty for bulbous nose, I would like to know how I can address my lower face/mouth/jaw area. I am too young for a facelift, since my skin hasnt lost elasticity, rather I lack volume. Could implants and subsequent fat grafting to smooth out the contour provide the necessary volume to achieve volume to stretch the skin and fix the problem of the skin around my mouth, or is this a seperate issue? It is very telling from my pictures that my mouth area/jaw needs addressing. I will not be considering double jaw surgery since it is expensive, but more importantly my bite is fine, so I dont believe it warrants such surgery, but I could consider jaw implants if it would help resolve the issue presented. I am also open to any other suggestions I have not considered. Please dont suggest injections, since I am looking for a permanent solution. Thank you in advance.
I had medpor cheek implants placed an over a year ago. They are the smallest size available so they arent large. However my face looks very big and I want them removed. Would it be easy for another surgeon to removed the implants, and will there be sagging? And if sagging is a possibility is there anything that can be done to lift the area during removal ? These are medpor implants with screws will removal be complicated? I hope not
Hi! I am Female, 19, 51, 105 Lbs, Asian. My midface looks long because of my narrow width of my face, and I realized that if i can make my face somehow wider, along with a philtrum reduction procedure, my features will look much more balanced. Is there such a surgery that can achieve the results in my after picture I edited?
Hi, I had cheek implant, medpores, 10 years ago. I wanted to remove them. I met a surgeon and told me it could be impossible in some case to remove them if they are too much attached with new tissues. This had me worried. Especially since I don't want to be, awaken stolen, still with cheek implants in me. If I don't mind moving with my cars and paying, are there surgeon that are able to guarantee removing medpore cheek ? Are you aware of medpore cheek implants that couldnt be removed?
hi, I need my cheek implant removal, I have pain and according to my family doctor, the implant is pressing the nerve. Now, my questions I would like to inquire about are... 1-) Can it be removed without a full anesthesia? Even under hypnosis would be the best OR at least partial anesthesia? 2-) What are the risks of the procedure? Especially afraid of having an asymmetric. END: if you question why I do this, please at least answer my questions I came here for, would be appreciated!! Thanks
Hello, I am currently 59 and around 150 pounds. I know that I have a relatively long midface and a large nose, I know my nose can be fixed with rhinoplasty but I am not sure exactly how to fix my midface or if it's worth investing more in the rhinoplasty.
