Do permanent spring threads cause problems if you later want surgical neck lift? Do they have to be removed as part of the neck lift or are they left in? I want to go ahead with a neck lift because the thread lift didn't give me the results I want
Answer: Neck lift It looks like you are a good candidate for a neck lift. It is unclear, from this photos, whether lower face/neck lift would be a better option. Treads should not be a problem. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, expert in face lifts, is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Permanent threads and neck lift Thank you for your question. In general, access during the neck lift procedure involves visualisation of the platysma muscles and often under the platysma muscles. As a result, threads present in the area would typically be removed. Most of the time, the effect of the threads is anyway much less than what the neck lift can offer and they would not be a supporting technique for the neck lift intervention.

Answer: Unhappy with results of thread lift: What are your options? Thank you for your question. Since you didn’t gain your desired results from a thread lift procedure, you are likely a candidate for a lower rhytidectomy, or neck lift. While a thread lift can effectively lift loose skin, a neck lift will remove the excess loose skin entirely and should produce more long-term results. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your concerns about your threads and help you select the best way to move forward.

Answer: Facelift and necklift following a threadlift Thank you for sharing your question and photos. I've performed plenty of necklift and facelift procedures on patients who have undergone prior thread lifting procedures. I have yet to encounter and major issues with the surgical procedure in spite of thread lifting having been performed prior. Often, the threads are dissolvable and have dissolved without any evidence they were even there. If I encountered any permanent material (sutures, threads) I would remove those at the time of the necklift operation.

Answer: What to do with permanent threads while doing a facelift. I have seen many patients in your situation. The threads don’t need to be removed if they don’t cause a problem. They can be remove if seen during the operation. They should be removed if they interfere with the procedure.
