Can I get a neck lift after a chin implant?

Question

I am seriously looking at chin implants, my concerns being vertical length and pre-jowls. If I get an implant, what is the viability of getting a necklift or at least liposuction after the fact?

A full set of facial photographs including the neck are going to be required to make a determination about how best to proceed with a chin implant and a neck lift procedure. There are many different sizes and styles of chin implants.Regarding your neck, it's important to figure out whether not you have fat below the platysma muscle in the neck. The neck lift and chin implant procedures can be performed separately or together and doesn't matter which order you going first.

Patients may end up having a chin implant and/or neck procedures at different times.  Although not commonly, patients may end up having a chin implant and necklift in individual cases, additionally.

Providing that you need chin implant augmentation and that you also have neck fulness, poorly defined jawline, jowls and similar, all of these should be addressed in one surgery. It is very common to do a chin implant at the same time as neck liposuction and/or a necklift. If you elected to get the chin implant before, it will not limit the ability to perform the other surgeries in the future, but it will mean you will have another recovery period.

You can undergo a necklift or neck liposuction after a chin implant. Generally these procedures are done simultaneously, but they can be staged or you can do them months-years apart. You will not have any reduction in surgical outcomes. I hope this helps answer your question.
