I am 22 I had a double jaw surgery 4 months ago because of lips protrusion but still haven’t seen any changes so I am trying to know if Genioplasty will help in this process?

Lip projection is unlikely to change after months from your surgery. If this projection is a concern, you should consider lip reduction surgery to the bottom or top lip or both. The surgery can be performed with local anesthesia or sedation anesthesia in the office. The incisions are hidden on the inside.

Double jaw surgery and genioplasty are not designed to change your lips overall.  If you feel your lips are too large or protrude too much we can reduce the lip projection and size in the office with stitches inside the mouth.

You should wait at least 4-5 months to see how recent surgery has affected your lips. If they stay protruded like this you may consider lip reduction. This is done in local anesthesia with predictable result. I do not think that genioplasty would change anything in that regard. Good luck.
