is difficult/impossible to remove osteosynthesis plate after 6 years of reduction genioplasty?

Generally, there is bone growth over the plates and screws, but the plate can be removed and a revision genioplasty performed. It is helpful to know the name of the plating company used in the first surgery so the surgeon can have the necessary screwdriver that may be particular to those screws. In our office, we perform the surgery with sedation anesthesia and does not require general anesthesia or hospitalization.
