It can temporarily weaken muscles around the eye. There are some you intentionally want to weaken with botox to give the eyes a more aesthetically pleasing look. Botox diffusion to the wrong muscles is a risk and can cause asymmetry, eyelid/brow drop. In the right hands, this is incredibly rare and never permanent. All effects are gone by 3-6 months. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Botox should not weaken the eye muscles if administered correctly. Please remember to seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
Ifdone incorrectly, there can be temporary eye muscle weakness leading to droopingof eyebrows and/or eyelids. This shouldwear off in 3 months.
Eyelid ptosis is a rare complication of Botox injections that occurs when botox is injected over the brow and that affects the palpebral muscle. This is often due to improper injection placement or massaging after the botox, or vigorous sports has been doing after injection. The treatment for that is time and reversible after botox has lost its efficacy which takes around 3-6 months. I did not head nor read any permanent case.
Thank you for your question. Any time Botox is injected, there is a small risk of it drifting and affecting other muscle groups. When Botox is injected between the eyebrows, it can rarely drift and affect the muscles that control the upper eyelid or the movement of the eye itself, most often due to improper injection placement. The results of Botox are temporary, and gradually fade over the course of 3-4 months. I would recommend seeing an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon for your treatments. Best of luck!
Botox is not permanent. So any negative results should go away after 3-4 months. This 3-4 months time fame can be long for some, but at least it is not permanent.
Thank you for your question spake. I understand your concern. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated withfacial expression. If placed in the wrong place Botox can reach muscles that move the eye. However this is very rare and it is temporary and treatable. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Botox can not induce permanent damage. It is a temporary working chemical that induces muscle weakness or paralysis. Good luck from New York City
Thanks for your question, Wolverhampton, Q3.Since Botox injections produce temporary results, it won’t cause permanent damage to eye muscles either. There have been instances when unskilled practitioners administered Botox injections and they caused double vision, lazy eye, and drooping eyelids as side effects, but they only last for about three months - the duration of the effect of a Botox injection. To avoid any risk and complication, make sure that you go to an experienced and board-ceritified plastic surgeon for your Botox injections. Good luck!
There is no permanent change with botox cosmetic. It has a temporary affect on the muscle ( wherever the muscle is located). If the injector inadvertently causes a lid droop by injecting Botox, this is also temporary until the product wears off ( or another product is used to reverse the eyelid droop)Hope this helps you,Dr Beverly Johnson
In general, Botox and other neuromodulators are probably fine around the area where a facial implant is located due to the superficial nature of Botox injections. These injections are generally not placed deep near the bone, which is where the implant is placed. Injections of fillers around a ...
