Although very rare botox can cause lid ptosis.  Your injector or eye doctor can prescribe Iopidine which will stimulate the muscle and improve the ptosis temporarily until the botox wears off.

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photo. Eyelid ptosis is a rare complication of Botox injections that occurs when botox is injected over the brow and that affects the palpebral muscle. This is often due to improper injection placement or massaging after the botox, or vigorous sports has been doing after injection. The treatment for that is time, to wait, and with iopodine will help a little.

You have unfortunately experienced a rare complication, which almost always only results due to a poor injection technique (under your eyebrow) by an injector who has not assessed your anatomy in depth or injected too many units too deep.  You now just have to patient and us the drops intermittently.  Hope this is helpful.

facial expression. A rare complication of Botox is droopy eyelids. This can be treated with apraclonidine ophthalmic solution. Usually the effects wear off in 2-3 week but can take a full 3-4 months. Patience is important. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

unfortunately complications such as yours do occur even though very infrequently. Do not be discouraged use the drops that you have been prescribed and wait this out. I think you will see quite a bit of improvement in the next two months or so. Good luck from New York City

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photo.  I'm very sorry to hear that you are experiencing eyelid ptosis after your Botox treatment.  Eyelid ptosis is a rare complication of Botox injections that occurs when Botox injected between the eyebrows drifts and affects the muscles that raise the upper eyelid.  This is most often due to improper injection placement by novice injectors.
Unfortunately, the only true cure for ptosis is to wait for the effects of Botox to gradually wear off - in most cases this can take up to 6-8 weeks, though it can persist longer in some patients.  Iopidine eye drops are a temporary fix - they work by activating an another muscle that can raise the upper eyelid by a few millimeters.  As the Botox wears off, you should see your eyelid position return to normal.  I would recommend following up with your doctor to discuss your concerns.  I hope you feel better soon!
