People keep mentioning the "crunch" on this site and today I found out what it is- I tried a new Botox provider (plastic surgeon) who told me you have to put the Botox *in* the periosteum for optimal results. The crunch experience came with that, and despite his EMLA cream and ball to squeeze, it also came with pain I have never before had with Botox (5 year user with break during pregnancy). Is this periosteum theory true, or even safe? I am btw a hematopathologist.
