I’m 45 years old and am wondering what my options would be for trying to get rid of or lessen this turkey neck I seemed to have developed in the last year. It seems like the banding has gotten significantly worse in the past few months. It all depends on how I hold my head, either it looks like a double chin or a turkey gobble. What would be the best non-surgical and surgical options? I’d be happy with the way I look if the gobble was gone! Thanks so much!
Answer: There are several surgical & nonsurgical options for correcting sagging neck skin or turkey neck The neck can get sagging skin for many reasons including a lot of sun exposure, weight gains or loss, pregnancy etc. Aging of the neck is very common before aging of the face. It's one of the things that can be very frustrating to patients of all ages especially the turkey neck in patient’s with a family history. The face and neck keep changing as you age. Some of the changes are at the skin level, some at the deeper levels like the fat, retaining ligaments or muscles. There are several nonsurgical and surgical options to treat each of these different areas. Some can be done together and it really depends how much improvement you want to see as well as what part really bothers you. If there is significant sagging, surgery is usually the preferred procedure but can still be combined with injections and laser treatments before or after surgery. A simple way to think about it - think of surgery as addressing any excess skin and laxity as well as removing fat. Think of laser as tightening the skin levels. Injections like Kybella can nonsurgically help diminish the fat and offer improvement and there are all sorts of laser procedures that can tighten different layers as well. Most of these procedures can be done safely in the office and the results are very satisfying. An in-office private consultation and examination with a board-certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to fully see and address your specific concerns and determine the right treatment plan.I hope this helps answer your question. Answer: Crisp neckline I see and hear your concern. In the long run, surgery in the form of a neck lift is the treatment option that will provide the most value to you (in terms of good result, long-term effect, financial cost, and time spent). You can certainly try nonsurgical options first. However the nonsurgical options do not provide much value in this area, and the time/cost tends to add up over time. Hope this helps!

Answer: Neck, possibly face/neck lift based on these photos you seem to be a good candidate for neck lift. Only on the basis of in person evaluation one can decide whether neck of lower face/neck lift would be a better option for you. Good luck.

Answer: Platysmaplasty (neck tuck) will do the trick. You would do very well with a little neck tuck under local and it is so easy to undergo. it is called a platysmaplasy.

Answer: Neck Skin Sagging / Platysmaplasty -- Necklift/Facelift, Lasers, Microneedling RF, Fillers, Renuvion, ThermiRF, FaceTite With significant neck sagging you would need a necklift / facelift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, lasers treatments (Fraxel, CO2, Erbium) or microneedling RF (Fractora, Intensif) can be performed to improve crepey skin or wrinkles. You need a formal consultation, as the neck can be treated with a combination approach: - Microneedling and laser treatments for texture - Botox, Dysport or Xeomin to help the Platysmal bands - Intensif or Fractora RF microneedling for crepey skin and lifting - Injectable fillers like Belotero, Restylane Silk, and/or Juvederm Volbella to improve lines and folds - Renuvion, ThermiRF, and/or InMode FaceTite for internal tightening - Ultherapy and Thermage for external tightening - regular Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, or InMode Forma treatments with facials to maintain tightness - PDO NovaThreads or Silhouette InstaLift cone threads for lifting and long-term collagen production See an expert for a full evaluation and treatment plan based on your individual situation and goals.
