I am scheduled for surgery in January 2023 for Lipo, tummy tuck, breast implant removal with lift and fat transfer. I had a testosterone pellet inserted November 2, 2022. Will this increase my risk of developing blood clots after surgery?

Answer: Hormones Yes, it does increase your risk somewhat because it is a hormone. However, you need to mobilize soon after surgery and I sure compression garments will be used in surgery for you.

Answer: Testosterone and blood clots There is no link that I am aware of correlating low-dose testosterone with blood clots. I suggest having a few in person consultations at which time you can talk to each plastic surgeon specifically about your medical history. You may also want to talk did the Doctor Who gave you the testosterone pellet about implications of hormone manipulation. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
