Would I benefit from muffin top lipo? (Photo)

Liposuction can help a “muffin top” when the main problem is localized fat in the flanks or lateral waist, but it will not tighten loose skin or correct scar-related contour changes from a prior abdominoplasty. In the photos, there appears to be fullness along the side/flank area near the tummy tuck scar, though an exam is needed to tell how much is pinchable fat versus skin laxity or scar tethering.

Because you have already had an abdominoplasty, the surgeon should evaluate scar position, tissue thickness, skin quality, and blood supply before deciding on additional liposuction. If the tissue is mostly soft, pinchable fat and the skin has reasonable elasticity, conservative flank/lateral waist liposuction may improve the contour. If there is significant loose skin, a high or tight scar, or tethering, liposuction alone could leave irregularity or worsening looseness, and a revision skin procedure may be more appropriate.

Thank you for your question. Looking at your photos I would recommend liposuction. Most patients do request some additional liposuction after having a tummy tuck. It will allow your Surgeon to contour the midsection a bit more. I would recommend speaking with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options. I see post tummy tuck patients all the time who benefit from liposuction of the waist, flanks, love handles, hips, and back. It's not unusual to also address the front of the abdomen to further thin the fatty layer over the abdominal muscles.

Yes, you can definitely have some liposuction performed on the rest of your trunk following abdominoplasty. This would include abdomen, flanks, and back; anywhere that you still have some thickness. This would give you a more defined silhouette and hour-glassed shape!

Although your photos are somewhat limited, I suspect you would benefit from liposuction of your flank, muffin top, area.
