I had an explant with lollipop lift December '21. Scars around the areolas have stretched a little since. After surgery & a couple months after, the stitching was very fine & neat. The color of the scars keeps fading over time but since the scars are outside of my own areola lines, they're visible. My surgeon offered a revision to cut these scars out & restitch saying that this time around it would heal& look better. Is it worth it or would it heal up the same way again

Answer: Scars I encourage you to give the scars a little longer to mature since you are still noticing changes. Typically after a year you can consider scar revision. During a revision there is generally less tension on the scars which allow them an environment to heal more favorably.

Answer: Scar hellobetter to wait 1 year for total wound healing and decide what to do. Areolar scar will be better or may as be similar because ot tension. on the other hand you can have the scar revision whenever you want so it would be better to wait and decide in future time. best regards

Answer: Scar Dear Elena07, I understand you are concerned with the appearance of your scars. As your scars heal, it should flatten out and lighten. Loss of pigmentation or hyperpigmentation may also be experienced but will resolve over time. Always follow your surgeon's post operative care instructions when it comes to scar management to avoid any complications like infection and for faster healing and recovery.
