THE FAT in my left eyelid keeps disappearing. Literally everyday it looks dramatically worst than it did the day before. I have eczema on my eyelid and i ACCIDENTALLY USED steroids for years!! ANYWAY I stopped using the cream a long time ago and its just continuously getting worst. I've been applying EYE GEL that's suppose to help repair the skin. But IT LOOKS SO BAD NOW! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE. My left eyelid is now starting to pull skin from my nose.

Answer: Fat Loss Around the Eye Hello,Fat loss around the eyes is a normal part of aging. Most of the time, the cheek tissues descend and the lack of volume over the rim of bone under your eyes can look like volume loss. This in combination with the bags under the eyes at the level of the eyelids can make your eyes look tired and gaunt. There are many procedures that can be performed for these problems but they all depend on your specific problem. For example individuals who use prostaglandin based glaucoma drops are at risk for periocular fat atrophy related to the use of the drop. There can be other localized issues as well contributing to this type of atrophy. An assessment by a board certified ophthalmologist is a very good place to start.
