Thank you so much to the entire team at Dr. Rodriguez's office for your hard work, care, and professionalism. From start to finish my otoplasty and macrotia was a great experience! Thank you to Dr. Rodriguez for your artistry, I am so excited to watch the results settle in!
Hello, I'm an African American who will be undergoing eyebrow and a 2nd hairline transplant surgery. For most of my adult life, I have struggled with androgen alopecia, but didn't know until I got a biopsy from my dermatologist office much later. Essentially, my hairline has thinned significantly over the years. I did get a hair transplant back in September 2020. While it did improve my hairline, I'm not fully satisfied with the results. My eyebrows have always been sparse all my life too, so I decided to get them microbladed a few years ago. I now want a 3D denser look I did my research and decided this was the best doctor for me. My surgery is Wednesday, Feb 23rd. Will update everyone with progress.
Being in the medical field I have seen lots of botched surgeries. When I needed my implants replaced due to a rupture I took my time and did my research. After meeting with Dr. Rodrguez-Feliz I knew I had found the kind, caring and artistic doctor I was looking for. I felt so confident in his talent that I decided on additional procedures; breast lift, upper eye lids and brow stabilization surgery. 1 week post surgery and I was back at work. Nobody could tell I had anything done. I am beyond thankful for the care and white glove service I received from Dr. Rodrguez-Feliz, Melinda and the rest of the staff. Love you guys! Thank you!!!
I had a mole removed from my upper eyelid/brow bone area (see pictures). I did a lot of research prior to choosing a doctor, knowing that this was a sensitive area that would require very precise hands. I am so glad that I went to Dr. Rodriguez-Feliz. He did a fantastic job, and his assistant, Janette, was extremely helpful as well. The procedure itself took less than an hour, and I had almost no swelling or bruising over the next few days. The stitches were removed in 4 days, and skin glue was applied. The glue came off after 9 days. I'm now 4 weeks post-op and I have only a tiny scar. I'm confident that it will fade within a few months.
I had bresat augmentation and lipo. My legs were very uneven ( really bad) due to a prior liposuction and he fixed them . Is being 2 months and day by day they look better. Never imagine I would get these Amazing
I had liposuction of the flanks and Gynecomastia surgery. The doctor and the staff carefully reviewed the procedure before surgery. On surgery day, the nurses and general staff were friendly, professional, and caring. I was comfortable and felt safe. Dr. Rodriguez carefully reviewed the procedure right before surgery. The staff allowed my family to be with me until surgery. I easily felt asleep and once awake, I was comfortable in the waiting room! While at home recovery was as described (little or no pain... just felt like I had completed a marathon again). After two weeks, and swelling going down, I see the amazing and positive results. Dr. Rodriguez, as well as the Office Staff, the nurses, and office manager checked up on me and called me at home (I would mention names but not sure if they wish to be identified). I recommend the practice 100%.
Dr. Rodriguez-Feliz spent ample amount of time going over what he felt best fit for my skin and lips as far as Botox and Juvederm. I have spent too many years in the sun so it took a lot of work to figure out how to get rid of the fine lines as well as the more visible. I also has my lips done and I let feeling like a new person. The staff and him work together and you always feel at home.
Five years ago, I lost 140 pounds. I had become a Personal Trainer specializing in helping people who had big numbers to lose like I once did, and I was in the best shape of my LIFE. However, I had excess skin on my tummy, and my breasts. A friend of my family referred me to Dr Jose Rodriguez-Feliz of Miami Plastic Surgery in Miami, FL. I live 5 hours north, but I grew up in Miami, so I didn't mind going to visit and meet him. Before I made the trip, he called me. We spoke for 30 minutes. He answered my many, many questions and did not rush me at all. I spoke with his lovely booking assistant Desiree and made an appointment for Botox as well ;-) When I met Dr Rod, I liked him instantly. He was confident without being cocky, and I trusted him immediately. I knew I would be in good hands. The entire Miami Plastic Surgery Team: The amazing Desiree, his incredible nurse Janette (who can do a procedure on you and it’s over before you know it), their sweet home care nurse Grace and the team at the Surgery Center is not only Ultra Professional, but incredibly kind and caring. They are always available for you, from before the procedure until now, 12 weeks after. The morning of the surgery, I wasn’t even nervous. Again, I knew I was in very good hands. I met my surgical team, and then Dr Rod came in and drew all over me and I laughed! I ended up with an extended tummy tuck, no liposuction. My goal was to wear a bikini, so he did not want to leave me with a fleur de lis scar. Yay! I have a little skin above my belly button but it is not a big deal to me - I would rather have that than a scar - that is just my personal choice. My surgery was outpatient at Baptist Hospital, and MPS sends you home with a nurse for the first night. I was staying at a hotel, and my nurse was the wonderful Grace. She lived up to her name. I hired Grace and Dolly to stay with me around the clock for the first few days to help out my husband. They were lovely. I saw Dr Rod the next morning and it was the first time I saw my new tummy. Even with the swelling I could see my beautiful new shape. Curvy new waist, super flat tummy. Beautiful! My scar was super low and so thin! He worked with my body's natural flow and I was finally seeing the real me underneath all that old skin. I felt victory and joy and gratitude! The photos I posted are at 8 weeks. I am very pale so the scar looks dark in the photo. It's lighter. I will post more as time goes by, especially on my personal blog. I didn't edit the photos at all - you can see my stretch marks, etc. I wanted you to know these are my real results at only 8 weeks. I am so happy I did this procedure. NO MORE SPANX! I am so much more confident and comfortable in my clothes. I love this man's work! Go see him!
This was my first experience with any cosmetic procedure, I was nervous about following through but I was not liking the wrinkles developing around my upper lip and my nasolabial folds. My appointment was in the afternoon and the office staff was very nice and efficient; my wait time was none, and in the exam room my wait was none. Dr. Rodriguez was extremely professional, very cordial, he listened to what I wanted from this procedure, and then he gave his professional opinion on how to accomplish it. During my procedure of HA injectables, Dr. Rodriguez took his time explaining what he was doing, it was clear to me that he takes great pride in his work and is eager to please his patients achieve their goals. At the end of my session I was very anxious with my immediate outcome, the swelling was not something I was expecting, Dr. Rodriguez reassured my that swelling was normal. To my surprise he called to check on my progress and again was very understanding and offered to see me in the office the next day. Fast-forward one week later and my results are very natural and pleasing, I look like a younger version of myself. I would highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez.
My under eye dark circles got worse after two pregnancies. Tired of people telling me I looked worn out. I have had some bone loss which has caused my cheeks to deflate slightly. He injected me with a HA filler under my eyes and Radius to my cheeks. I look well rested and natural. Excellent experience and highly recommended.
Thank you for posting your photos. Swelling can persist for a while after blepharoplasty, but rarely for 8 weeks post-op. In some cases I have seen clinically significant or noticeable swelling for 4-6 weeks post-op. In this particular set of photos I do not see much residual swelling, but what I do notice, is that you have droopy eyelids (medical term = eyelid ptosis) which it is posible that you are noticing more now that you don't have upper eyelids excess skin. This is a condition that you most likely had before your blepharoplasty and was undiagnosed. It is corrected with surgery. Hope this was helpful. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. The most important thing is to really differentiate from what is excess eyelid skin and an actual droopy eyelid (ptosis). Many patients would interchange these 2 completely different conditions and the treatment is different. Assuming you have a droopy eyelid, the permanent way to correct it is with ptosis surgery either via an anterior approach (through a blepharoplasty incision) or a posterior approach (behind the actual eyelid). If you would like a temporary relief, Iodipine eye drops can improve 1-2mm droopiness for a few hours. If the problem is excess upper eyelid skin, then surgery is most likely the treatment. Good luck!
Thank you for posting your photos. Not knowing your age or medical history, the first thing I would recommend is that you get evaluated to make sure you don't have any medical condition (e.g. Grave's Disease) that is causing proptosis which is just another word for "big, prominent, protruding eyes". Assuming all that is normal, then you should be evaluated by an oculoplastic surgeon as the procedures you would need in order to correct the position of your lower eyelids is a bit more complex. It is likely that you need a combination of treatments including: lateral canthopexy with spacer grafting and midface lift. These are all done at the same time through a lower blepharoplasty incision and they all aim to elevate the lower lid, support it, and re-create a more almond shape position. All these being said, you are still at a higher risk for developing lower lid malposition after surgery. The most important factor in your particular case, is to find a qualified surgeon that understands and performed these more complex procedures regularly. Good luck!
Thank you for posterior photos. What you are seeing in with concern in the most it is related to early development what is known as the tear troughs. Fillers in this area could help improve the indent that you are noticing. This is a temporary measure and would need to be done every 6-12 months. This area tends to be very tricky to inject you must go to a physician that has experience doing this. Expect some mild bruising and swelling, and always plan this during the time where you do not have any major events. Hope this was helpful. Good luck!
Thank you for posting your photo. This is a very delicate area. I always tell my patients about the possibility of bruising in this area that could persist for long amount of time. The most important thing is to make sure that what you are thinking it is a bruise is not the actual filler being seen through thin skin, which is cold Tyndal effect. Based on the photo you provided this does not seem to be the case. If this was the case the filler would need to be dissolved. Bruce's in this area usually respond well to Arnica gel application 3-4 times a day. 1 it is a long-standing bruise I sometimes use laser treatments to help breakdown the pigment and allow for faster resolution. Some patients may develop hemosiderin (iron) deposited in the deep tissues which makes the whole process more chronic and difficult to resolve. Some patients would also go on to develop a postinflammatory response which needs long-term treatment with topical creams to control melanin deposition. In my experience these all get better with time but he does require a lot of patience. I hope this was helpful. Good luck!
