Hi, I'm 30 and have one eyebrow that is higher than the other and highly noticeable at least by me in pictures. I have been getting Botox and wish for a more permanent solution. I like the height of my higher brow and don't wish to raise it much if I don't have to. Is a brow lift mostly on side even possible? Does this surgery require general anaesthetic?
Answer: Unilateral brow lift Yes surgery can help asymmetric brow heights. However your asymmetry can be dues no many factors (differences in bone support below, differences in volume of brow tissue, etc). If these are not addressed the result will most likely regress over time. Please see a specialist before proceeding and get all your questions answered.BestDr. Massry

Answer: Does #browlift require general anesthesia? A browlift can be performed under either IV sedation or general anesthesia. For a complete unilateral browlift, I would not recommend local anesthesia but either IV sedation or general can provide a comfortable experience for the vast majority of patients. With regard to whether a one sided browlift would create the results that you seek permanently, you will need to seek an in person consultation.Stephen Weber MD, FACS Denver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Minibrow lift with local anesthesia using an Irregular Trichophytic incision. Minibrow lift with local anesthesia using an Irregular Trichophytic incision can do what you want without leaving a noticeable scar since hair grows thru the scar and not behind it. I have used this for 35 years without problem.

Answer: Brow lift for asymmetrical eyebrows A traditional browlift is done under general anesthesia which involves asymmetrical lifting of eyebrow skin and adjusting the forehead muscles accordingly. If only a small direct incision browlift is required, then the eyebrow lift can be performed under local anesthesia. The hairline can also be adjusted upwards or downwards depending upon placement of the incision. A full set of facial photographs are required to make a determination about how best to proceed. For many examples of traditional browlifts, please see the link below
