Small amounts of fat under chin. What surgical options does a slim 140 pound guy have that could show natural features?

I have a very small amount of stubborn fat directly below my chin and it softens my jaws ever so slightly. This small amount of fat actually makes me look a lot chubbier and younger, images and stories only depict fat peoples transitions, I am slim. I pinch it back and see all of my true features! I have a general fat face, and even though my cheekbones and jawline is strong the fat seems to hide it.

I suggest beginning with an in-person consultation to discuss your options. During your initial examination, your #chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline. A weak #chin implies a lack of chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall #balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local #anesthesia. For individuals with signs of #aging in the neck, a chin implant added to one of the recommended procedures above, will provide optimal results. Also, #liposuction under the chin is also another option your doctor can discuss. If you are not a candidate for chin or neck rejuvenation at the time of your #consultation, your board certified plastic surgeon can recommend alternatives to address your concern. 
However, there may be additional options to improve the appearance of your concern to improve the overall balance of your face. Such can be best evaluated in-person. Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in #face, #neck and #chin procedures is important to ensure you are receiving the best advice, care, and surgical experience possible.

Chin Liposuction is the plastic surgery procedure that removes the excess of fat underneath the chin (double chin) and also along the inferior border of the jaw line. This allows to have a less "fat" neck specially when looking down (like when checkng the cell phone). In my practice I routinely perform chin liposuction under local anesthesia without sedation.

Correction of a double chin can be achieved either though a surgical or non-invasive approaches. Liposuction of the chin and neck produces consistently good results for appropriate candidates. We are very excited with the development of several non-invasive techniques for correction of a double chin. Ultherapy of the lower face and  submental neck can provide both skin tightening and fat reduction for more definition.  We also offer the Cool mini as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction for the right candidate. Generally, two treatments are required separated by 4-6 weeks.  We also offer Kybella which is another non-surgical alternative to liposuction. To improve the appearance of your chin and jawline, I would recommend liposuction to your submental/chin area.  This would spot reduce fat in your chin area and help define your jawline.  In addition, a procedure called NeckTite could be included with the liposuction to tighten the skin of your submental region to further define that area.  Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to see if this would be the right option for you.

While a set of pictures would have been helpful, I can understand what is your requirement through your explanation. The under-chin fat is not uncommon in slim individuals because it can be an outcome of other factors rather than just being fat such as heredity/hormones/lifestyle etc. A sub-mental liposuction helps best in such situation, and if you want to give more definition to your face then a buccal fat-pad removal along with sub-mental liposuction may be helpful in getting a slimmer face. An consultation with board certified plastic surgeon will be ultimately required to help you in making a decision. All the best.

Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, silastic facial implants (cheek, chin or lip implants), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years.  Following my beauty principles, men look chiseled and handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles.  Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation.  The following procedures would create a more ruggedly handsome face.
If the cheeks are flat or concave in the front with or without excess fat surrounding (hiding) them, Cheek augmentation with cheek implants to add angularity to the cheeks and mid face.  Liposuction can be combined to reduce any excess fat to further shape the cheeks and face.
When the chin itself is weak with or without excess fat and/or skin under the chin, Chin augmentation, using a chin implant, to add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years.  When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin".  Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck.  Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision.  I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut bone segments).  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.  
Augmentation of the mandibular angles using a dermal filler (jaw implants have too many unwanted side effects IMHO) to add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line.
