Seems like my breasts have looked like this since I started my periods at age 13. I was diagnosed with an interactive thyroid at 17, nothing has changed breast wise since I started my medication. The right breast has always been bigger. I'm not bothered about the size really, but I hate the shape, don't seem to fill bras. When my nipples are effect the shape of the breast changes, a lot founder and nicer. I'd like them to stay like that, but only seems to last a matter of minutes
Answer: Tuberous Breasts Thank you very much for your question and photographs. From your pictures, it does appear that you have tuberous breasts. Depending on the individual patient and the extent of correction required, surgical correction for tuberous breasts can be extremely successful. By releasing the constricted tissue, your breasts and nipple/areola area will take on a more natural shape. Using different size implants, an experienced surgeon can also correct your breast asymmetry, while providing a fuller, rounder chest. I recommend that you speak with a board certified plastic surgeon, experienced in tuberous breast correction. At this time, he/she will perform an in-person examination to determine if you are a good candidate for the the procedure.

Answer: Tuberous Breasts Thank you for sharing your photo. You do appear to have tuberous breasts. To correct this, you will need more than a basic breast augmentation procedure. Tuberous breast correction is a very meticulous and specialized procedure, which should only be performed by a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in this area. My technique uses a breast implant in conjunction with a periareolar incision for reconstructive tubular breast surgery, as provides the highest degree of control and accuracy when placing the implant. This surgical technique results in a natural, symmetrical, and full breast appearance. In order to restore a more ideal and rounded breast shape, you may also recommend a breast lift along with the augmentation. Each patient with tuberous breasts is unique, and so is their surgery. I would need to consult with you in person to determine the best tuberous breast correction surgery approach.

Answer: Breast Augmentation While your breasts are not round, I would not call them tuberous. A size discrepancy between two breasts is very common but if you wish to change the shape I would recommend a modest breast augmentation. You did not mention it, but your nipples appear to be different heights too. During a consultation all of the pluses and minuses would be discussed so that you can make an informed decision as to the best approach.

Answer: Tuberous breasts with asymmetry Based on your photos, you do appear to have both tuberous breasts and obvious asymmetry. If the look bothers you then schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss treatment options. These would probably include a breast lift with an implant. Best of luck.

Answer: Technically, yes Thank you for your question to a common presentation for plastic surgeons. Tuberous breasts have a wide spectrum of presentations and the elements which are typically associated vary in their severity as well. In your case, it appears that you have a mild constriction of the lower poles of both breasts. Another element of the tuberous breast is "herniation" of the breast tissue into the areola. Although you present with a mild herniation, the erection or flattening of the areola accounts for a more pleasing appearance as the breast tissue is "pushed" back into the breast. And lastly, it is not uncommon for significant asymmetry which you have. As part of the procedure to address various elements of the tuberous breast you have presented here, correction of the herniation can be performed. In addition, improving the lower pole constriction and volume asymmetry would be performed as well. Good luck.
