How soon after Radiesse fillers on cheeks can I do Ultherapy? I am 53 yrs. old.

Ultherapy in conjunction with fillers is a popular treatment choice
for many patients. Fillers provide volume and Ultherapy tightens and lifts the skin. There are no
published studies that indicate that Ultherapy would interfere with filler. A trained professional will avoid treating the area of the face where filler
has been injected.Consult with a board

Ultherapy and filler treatments work great when used in conjunction.  Filler is great for facial re-volumization and Ultherapy is perfect for skin lifting and tightening.  There is no research regarding the effect of Ultherapy on filler.  However, when I perform Ultherapy treatments, filler can be visualized on the Ultarsound machine.  It is true that the Radiesse filler is placed deep out of the way of the Ultherapy treatment zone but make sure you go to an experienced clinician who can tell the difference between your own tissue and filler.  Although there is no evidence that Ultherapy affects filler, I always avoid treating it if it is visible on the Ultrasound picture.  Ultherapy results are very dependent on your clinician's  experience.  Good Luck!

Hi Susana,Great question.  Ultherapy is performed over areas of the face that do not have underlying bone.  Most of the time Radiesse is injected over bone.  So depending on where the Radiesse was injected in your face, you may have Ultherapy at any time.  It has been my experience that some patients have reported that they thought that their Radiesse didn't last as long when they had Ultherapy directly over where the filler had been injected.  Good luck and be well.Dr. P

Hi Susana. There are no studies showing the effects of Ultherapy on Fillers. If placed properly in the cheeks then the filler should be out of the way of an Ultherapy treatment and can be successfully avoided by an experienced provider. At this point it should be ok to proceed with Ultherapy. Please make sure you find an experienced provider. Best of luck to you.

I believe that these 2 treatments work well together. In my office, I often will do an Ultherapy procedure and immediately afterwards ,inject Radiesse along the jawline to help get even faster results.
