What is the success rate for scar revision after breast lift? (photos)

for scars, I close all of my incisions in 5 layers and do not use absorbable sutures because they cause inflammation and worse scarring. I tape all of my incisions in the office visits once a week for six weeks after surgery to improve the appearance. After taping, I start my patients on a scar gel therapy for 3 months that they have to put on their incisions twice daily.You should discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon as different surgeons have different approaches in scar management.

Breast surgery scars can be managed in several different ways, it really depends on the surgeon (make sure to consult with board certified specialist). Whenever I do a breast sexy or lift, reduction from prosthesis change, the scar I always do is in L form, so the scar is not visible and always the results are aesthetically adequate. Are the scars raised? Are they firm? Often a steroid injection is the first step to getting things right. You can inject the scars and watch them soften and flatten. Then, they can be excised and sewn back together. With the right support garments you should get a nicer result and be much happier. All of that can be done in the office.
