White patch behind ears 5.5 months after facelift?

this cant be skin necrosis... that would imply the skin has survived for nearly half a year with no blood supply!... I suspect this is scar tissue forming around the neck flap.

Hello,What you've experienced has happened to other patients.  Hypo-pigmentation, visible scars can be improved.  Once the skin has healed, you may be a candidate for the attached treatment.  ReLume has helped others like yourself with hypo-pigmented scars.

The white patch behind your ear that you are describing does not sound like skin necrosis. It would also be unusual to have skin necrosis occur 5-6 months after a facelift. Normally, this would happen fairly soon after the surgery. Without seeing you, or at least pictures of you, it's impossible to know what is causing the white patch but I would mention it to your surgeon.

Contact your surgeon for an exam, so that he can determine the cause of the white patch. It is highly doubtful that you have fat necrosis. This would be unusual 5 to 6 months after a facelift.
