Your plastic surgeon will give you the best answer in your specific case about this and sex. For most of my patients I allow sex to begin at 6 weeks with the woman on top to minimize the risk of trauma. Here are some of the guidelines I give my patients following breast reduction: Following surgery, you will be walking in a bent-over position to keep tension off the newly tightened skin incision site. Although strenuous activity, and lifting more than twenty pounds, must be avoided for 6 weeks, some people can return to work and daily activities as soon as 2 weeks after surgery. Softening of the surgical scars, return of sensation, and improvement of shape may take several months to a year or more. Light activity is comfortable in 10-20 days. No sports or heavy lifting for 6 weeks or more – please discuss with your doctor for specific questions.#breastaugmentation#sexaftersurgery
Thank you for your question. I generally recommend waiting until all the swelling is down before engaging in sexual activity. So typically two weeks would be fine. However, I would not recommend a lot breast manipulation as part of your sexual activities until you are closer to six weeks.
You will be able to resume sexual activities after three weeks or so, although you may have to wait longer if it is more physically demanding. The key is to take it slowly at first then increase in intensity. Listen to your body. Your husband shouldn't touch your breasts aggressively at this time - wait until about 6 weeks or so before you do this. However, having said that, it's better to ask your surgeon for their advice.
Gentle activity at 2 weeks, no restrictions at 4-6 weeks is my typical recommendation, check with your PS and see what they recommend
Thank you for your question. Every surgeon will have a slightly different answer for this question--there is no absolute right or wrong. It is always best to follow the advice of your surgeon since they are taking care of you. That being said, generally 3-4 weeks out is considered safe. Always use common sense and be cautious. Best of luck.
You should check with your own surgeon as there can often be different opinions. usually by 4 weeks you could start to have calm sex (if that's possible).
Every doctor has his/her own protocol for resuming sexual or other strenuous activities following surgery. For me, I tell my patients not do do anything too strenuous for three weeks following surgery. In other words, don't use the trapeze! For the first three weeks, however, I tell them simply to use common sense and take it easy. If you are doing something and it hurts then don't do it. If you can have sex within those parameters then I say go for it!
Resuming sexual activity and allowing your husband to touch your breasts after breast augmentation surgery depends on your healing process and your plastic surgeon’s specific recommendations. Generally, here are some guidelines: 1. Initial Healing Phase (Fits 1-2 weeks): • During the first week or two, it’s crucial to avoid any pressure or impact on your breasts. This period is critical for initial healing, and your implants need to settle. 2. Intermediate Phase (3-6 weeks): • After the initial healing phase, you can typically resume gentle sexual activity. Your plastic surgeon will likely advise you to be cautious and avoid putting pressure on your breasts. Touching them gently should be okay, but avoid any vigorous activity. 3. Long-term Healing (6 weeks and beyond): • Around six weeks post-surgery, most patients can resume more normal activities, including more active sexual activity. By this time, your implants should be well-settled, and the risk of damaging them or causing yourself pain decreases significantly. It is essential to follow your plastic surgeon’s post-operative care instructions closely. Each person’s healing process is unique, and your plastic surgeon may have specific guidelines based
Most surgeon recommend a 3 week or more delay before resuming sexual activity. The specifics for you will best be answered by your surgeon, who is responsible for your recovery. Best wishes.
I usually have patients wait at least 3-4 weeks until the incisions have healed, and the patient is feeling better. But this can vary. Best to ask your doctor.
