What procedure do I need to remove the bulge on top of my vulva?

I think that you are speaking abut the clitoral hood area. Whomever you choose to see should definitely clarify that this is what you are speaking about. If it is the clitoral hood, this can be reduced in an office setting under local anesthesia. Please see several MD's in you area who specialize in this type of surgery, whether urogynecologists or plastic surgeons.

The extra tissue on your clitoral hood can be reduced. You probably need a clitoropexy with clitoral hood reduction in which the clitoris is pushed closer to the pubic bone and the width, thickness, length, and protuberance of the clitoral hood can be decreased. I Invented this procedure have performed it over 300 times with excellent results.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Nothing replaces an in-person examination but it appears that you have redundant clitoral hood or lateral prepuce tissue which can be addressed with a small, in-office procedure. Hope this helps.

Hello. While the immediate thought would be some sort of hood reduction, the most prudent action is a thorough physical exam and history taking because to determine how to treat it more information is needed. The possibilities of what’s causing this are a few but the treatment will depend on knowing the cause. It could be as “simple” as an incision and drainage, or more complex like a sebaceous cyst removal or hood reduction. Thanks for your post and great photos. The procedure you will need would be finalized at the time of an exam and after understanding any relevant history. Is this a new development or a result of recent infection or abscess? There are conditions of the vulva which lead to absces formaton of the hood that will need to be ruled out and treated. This bulge appears to be excess prepuce or hood which can be reduced under local anesthesia.
