I'm 41 years old and just got my 1st dermaplaning on my face. Since, I'm fair skinned and also just started the Obagi SkinCare line, how often do you recommend to get dermaplaning? I'm trying to clear of brown spots and uneven pigmentation on my face.
Answer: Dermaplaning Thank you for your question in regards to dermaplaning. It is suggested to dermaplane every 4-6 weeks. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. Answer: Dermaplaning Dermaplaning is an easy procedure where dead skin is removed from the epidermis, as well as vellus hair. Skin appears smoother, lessening the appearance of acne scarring, any sun damage or hyperpigmentation and fine lines and wrinkles. Dermaplaning may be done as a stand alone treatment or to enhance another facial treatment, such as a brightening peel. Dermaplaning does NOT change the texture, color, pattern, etc of hair. The hair will regrow in the exact same way it was before the procedure. All skin types and colors can benefit from this non-invasive treatment.

Answer: How often should I get dermaplane if I have fair skin? Thank you for your question. We recommend our patients to get a dermaplane every 4 weeks (once a month). Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation. It works to remove dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz). Its a great add on treatment or all on its own. MedSpa Barrington IL

Answer: Dermaplaning Thank you for your question. Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that consists of using a scalpel blade to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. This does help to prep the skin for a better treatment. Removing the excess dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz) allows the products to absorb better. Consult with an experienced medical aesthetician in your area. Good luck!

Answer: Dermaplaning Dermaplaning is a great exfoliation treatment to do. Typically, we recommend our patients getting a treatment every month. Unfortunately, dermaplaning is not the best treatment for pigmentation concerns. I would talk with your provider about other alternatives to help with pigmentation such as an IPL. I hope this helps!
