I have a pack of Swan Mornton Surgical Blades No. 14 and I use them to dermaplane my skin at home. I dermaplane ONCE A WEEK as my form of exfoliating. I see many dermatologist say dermaplaning last for weeks or several months but I thought they might say that because they are talking about the results combined w/ expensive serums in office for a full facial. Dermaplaning just for the purpose of exfoliating - is once a week too much? Does once a week ruin the natural cycle of my skin?
I went out to buy wax to remove my upper lip hairs. I used it and was a terrible wax! But I still used it! I just really wanted to get rid of my hairs. So I eagerly tried to get rid of my upper lip hairs. So I Kept doing it so many times not caring how bad it burned with the strips. So the next day I have a really dry upper lip with a brown shade. That's so notice able !!! Please help ....
This has been on the side of my nose for about 2 1/2 months. I generally have clear skin and am 25 years old. I'm also African American so l'm not sure exactly what color I should be alarmed by when it comes to the lump. It is slightly raised but not painful at all. In my opinion, it appeared after a facial when I got derma planing and my theory is that maybe she nicked me there but my mom thinks I should get it checked out. Just want to know if it looks concerning.
Hello i was wondering when doing a Dermaplaing procedure, is it best to Dermaplain on dry skin or use an oil base to do the procedure. I see alot of estheticians use oils and some doing the procedure on dry cleansed skin.
Considering dermaplaning before my wedding (45 days away) and have a few questions: 1) how long before my wedding should I do it, to ensure I have no peach fuzz but also no irritation? 2) how long between sessions? Will I have time to do it twice before my wedding? Id like to try it once first? 3) I must be tan for my wedding (I know the risks here and am willing to take them). Will dermaplaning make my tan fade? And how long should I wait after before tanning again. Thank you!
How long after a client has had botox and lip fillers can a dermaplane be done? I'm gettin mixed messages from different people and I want to be clear I don't cause any damage. Some say after couple of days, some say 7 days, some say couple of weeks. Is there a clear answer anywhere? Thanks
I've booked in for a first dermaplaning session at a well-reviewed place tomorrow and have been looking at aftercare advice. Some sites say to avoid exercise afterwards for anything from 24 hours to 3 days. However I am training for a competition, which means I usually train 6 days a week, sometimes twice, and I am not really allowed to skip any. Almost all those sessions would be classed by most normal people as 'intense'. How big a problem would it be to train within 24 hours of the treatment?
Id like to know a doctors opinion on dermaplaning for the face. It sounds like it might make your skin and pores look beautiful but so far Ive only heard of this being available in med-spas which I wont go to. Will it cause thicker facial hair? Thanks in advance for your advice and time.
