3 weeks PO - The incision on top of my butt crack leaks a mucus like fluid

Question

I had a body left/liposuction incl. butt left and injected the fat into it. The cut go around my body and meets on top of my butt crack. the wound healed but the meeting point isn't as good as the others because it's more "humid" there lol When I put a tissue to check that area, i get a mucus like fluid on the tissue "very small amounts".. I am not sure if it's an infection or hygiene, I take a shower every day and clean/sanitize it but it stings a bit which means it's not fully healed inside

One problem should be brought to the attention of your surgeon but they are fairly common with the type of operation You describe.Usually these will close spontaneously with proper one care

It is not uncommon that with a body lift and the incision macerating in the buttock crease to take a little while to heal. Good wound care usually does the trick. Best to follow closely with your surgeon.

It is not uncommon for the area in the cleft to heal a little slowly. I would certainly take care to clean that area meticulously. I would also suggest that you may want to contact your plastic surgeon and see him in the near future to evaluate this area and give you appropriate suggestions.
