After 1 week I noticed uneveness, lumps and even rolls on my stomach. The Dr told me its because of my garment. I changed the garment and went for 5 lipomassages. I thought with time that it would smoothen out. The lumps can be seen even with clothes and I feel worse now then I did before the surgery. What can I do at this point? Is 3 months too soon to tell? I dont think this was a garment issues I believe my dr removed to much fat and was done unevenly. What do you think? Please help!
Answer: Contour Deformities after Liposuction Thank you for your picture. I think that your liposuction has produced unevenness that requires revision. I would wait at least 6 months to allow the areas to soften greatly. Then revision liposuction +/- fat grafting can be done to improve your abdominal contour.Earl Stephenson, Jr, MD, DDS, FACS

Answer: Excess skin cannot be treated by liposuction of any type .Is too early to make a decision about long-term outcomes. There is a lot of healing in front of you. If one of the preoperative problems excess skin. This will not have been addressed by liposuction of any variety.

Answer: Poor Contour and Unevenness After Liposuction I would wait 6 months before considering a revision. You may still have some swelling. Id also suggest diet and exercise, and significant abdominal exercises to help tighten and decrease the swelling. If there is still irregularity after a few more months, I would consider a revision with additional liposuction +/- fat transfer/grafting. You may want to get a second opinion, unless you trust your initial physician. I am not sure about what was said below, regarding a tummy tuck. But if there is significant loose skin, I would agree that liposuction alone may not be the best option for you.

Answer: Unevenness and lumps In your case, that is the result of you being a Tummy Tuck patient since the very beginning and having a liposuction instead, and the rolls of skin, are, exactly that, rolls of saggy skin. You have to wait about 9-12 months to reevaluate and probably finally make the decision of having a TUMMY Tuck. Over the months your skin will be less hard, and will be looser.Another liposuction will only make your abdomen worst. Another helpful recommendation: do not put on weight, the appearance of your abdomen will be worst, more uneven and lumpy. Dr. Cardenas

Answer: Uneven results at 3 months You will need to be seen in person to make an accurate determination but it does appear that a revision will be in order in your case. I would defer revision until the treated areas have soften which may take up to one year. Great success can be obtained in liposuction revisions with various newly designed cannulas and micro lipografting. Best of luck and continue the massage treatment per the direction of your treating surgeon.
