I'm hoping to have my surgery on a Monday, however I'm supposed to be going to a wedding the following Saturday (5 days later). Is this too ambitious to think I will be comfortable enough or should I push back the date?
Answer: Wedding after Breast Augmentation Many patients wait until the last minute to have surgery before a big event. 5 days before a wedding is cutting is way to close to have surgery. I would suggest at least three to four weeks if you are a guest and at least two months if you are in the ceremony. The best advice at this point is to go and enjoy the wedding and have your surgery at a later date. Having surgery and a proper recovery is important and you should not rush things or make hasty decisions. Good Luck.

Answer: Probably too soon Depending on your rate of recovery, you may find going to a wedding so soon after your surgery to be very uncomfortable and tiring. You will also have to limit your physical activity to avoid compromising your recovery. However, please ask your surgeon as they may have different advice.

Answer: Wedding 5 days following breast augmentation I would not recommend going to a wedding 5 days post-op. Following breast augmentation, I advise my patients to take 1 week off from work, remain at home with lots of bed rest and limited regular activities. This is to ensure proper healing and the best result possible. Although you may look and feel okay 5 days after surgery, there is still a lot of healing that is going on and exerting yourself can lead to the risk of complications. Call or visit your surgeon’s office in this regard and follow his or her specific post-op instructions.

Answer: Attending a wedding 5 days after a Breast Aug Breast augmentation is a major operation that has at least moderate discomfort. I am of opinion that you may be a little too sore and require little too much pain medicine five days after your surgery to attend and enjoy the wedding. Please ask your plastic surgeon his or her opinion of this matter.Earl Stephenson, Jr, MD, DDS,FACS

Answer: Wedding 5 days after breast augmentation? Much will depend on what you plan on doing during the wedding. If you are planning on doing anything more than sitting and socializing, you will probably be better off pushing back the date of your surgery. Activities such as dancing and drinking for example, will probably be able "off limits”. Best wishes.
