Why is one breast significantly larger than the other after breast augmentation? (photos)

It is difficult to assess significant asymmetry from your photos. Know that if the same volume was placed on each side you may be simply more aware of an asymmetry that existed preoperatively. Capsular contracture and positional asymmetry can also create shape differences. Best to share your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your pictures.  Your bra obscures your breasts so it is hard to tell your breast size. At two months it is unlikely that your breasts will even out if one is larger than the other. I don't see anything except a minor asymmetry in the limited photograph. Differential swelling can create minor asymmetries. Large asymmetry should be brought to the attention of your plastic surgeon.

It generally takes 4-6 months for patient to see their final result.  During this healing phase there are often subtle asymmetries that resolve.  You should continue to follow up with your plastic surgeon and express your concerns.  Obvioulsy an in persono examination gives much more information that do photographs.

Dear SJ,As you have already heard from almost everyone responding to your question, breast asymmetry 2 months after a breast augmentation is not uncommon.  It may take 6 months or more for the implants to settle to their final position.  Good luck!

A compleye evaluation of your situation would require, at the very least, 1. before photos2. after photos withou a bra3. was this evident right away or did it develope with time?an in person consultation would obviously be the best in addition to the above.You also need to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.I suspect that after 2 mpnths that the size difference will remain although the shape of each will change.

You are wearing a bra, so I can not tell, but with the same size implants you likely had some asymmetry as do all women.

It is not uncommon for the breast to look asymmetrical even with same sized implants at 2 months after breast augmentation.  It can take 3 months or longer for the breast implants to drop and even out.It is most important that you see your plastic surgeon for an examination and opinion.  It is important to rule out capsular contraction or tightness on one breast implant pocket.
