I'm having breast augmentation done first and them smart lipo, but I would like to get it done as soon as possible. Im having my in August 16 and I would like to be able to be phisically ready at the beginning of July because I will do coreography dance and to practice. What are my options? Thanks!
Answer: Liposuction after breast augmentation Thank you for your question. Liposuction is a procedure that can be safely combined with a breast augmentation. The nice thing about doing both surgeries at the same time is that you can combine the recovery. As far as doing it after your breast surgery, timing can be variable. I would make sure that there are no issues with the breast surgery and I would prefer not to have a patient lay on their stomach for a prolonged period of time if you are going to have your back or flanks done. Answer: Breast Augmentation combination with other procedures I would recommend having your breast augmentation and your Smart Lipo done at the same time. For the most part the healing is simulataneously,not sequentially. You will save time and money that way and not havt eo undergo two recoveries.

Answer: Can be done at same time... You can have both procedures done at the same time. This is common in my oractuce. That will also help with your down time as well. Best of luck.

Answer: The right questions Why are you not having your breast augmentation and liposuction done at the same operation? If you are a good candidate for each of these operations,chances are it is perfectly safe to have the operations at the same time. Most board certified plastic surgeons who perform breast augmentation also perform liposuction. Why are you having Smart Lipo? There is no objective data to suggest that Smart Lipo is any more effective that traditional liposuction - Smart Lipo carries an added risk of thermal skin injury and is often more expensive.

Answer: Liposuction After Breast Augmentation Wait Time Thank you for your question. There is not a reason, other than your preference, to do these as separate procedures. If you combine them, you are only facing one recovery period instead of two. If you do move forward with doing a liposuction procedure after your augmentation the amount of time in between depends on the areas you are having treated. I tell my patients not to lay in any position that puts pressure on their breasts for six weeks after augmentation. Talk with your surgeon about the difference between combining them or doing separate procedures. Best wishes.
