My nose has been changing quite a bit over the last several years. I’ve always had a normal straight nose, but it has gotten bigger as I get older. The tip seems to be bulbous. I’m not a drinker, and always have an SPF of 30 on my face and neck. I’ve tried using make up to lessen the look of my nose, but I just end up looking a drag queen. I’m pushing 60 and take care of myself. Gravity is not doing me any favors, but do I have any options besides having rhinoplasty? Thank you.

Answer: The aging nose There is such a thing as the aging nose! Most often people notice that there nose begins to drop and they loose the architecture of the nose. Its defining points in the nose become less prominent. I bet if you were to examine your side profile, you would see that your nose projects less than it used to. So yes, in some instances, using filler to help increase projection of the nose can help make the rest of your nose more defined and more youthful. It seems counterintuitive to add volume to a structure that you think is enlarging, but if placed in the right area for the right patient it can look quite nice! If you do find that filler isn't a good option for you, then your only other option is the convention surgical rhinoplasty. Good luck!

Answer: No selfies, Non-surgical rhinoplasty Is there a cost-effective nonsurgical way to reduce the size of your nose? No. In some cases you can camouflage distorted contours with injectable fillers but that does not appear to be the case in your nose. I would encourage you to discontinue taking Selfies. The lesion was in the camera is not designed for the accurate capture of 3-dimensional structures at that close of a range. The camera in your phone will always great to the tip of the nose look large. The easiest thing to do is quit worrying about the appearance of your nose or do something about it and have a rhinoplasty.

If the is growing nasal tip is thick skin, surgery is not indicated and won't help. If the increased width is cartilage, then A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish improvement.

Answer: What can I do about my nose that keeps getting bigger as I get older? Hi Stacy, Your nose as you age loses strength in the tissues (just like other parts of the body such as the abdomen or breasts). For this reason, many people will feel their nose grows with age (really just sagging) and "grow" a hump. Similarly, the tip can even change shape. Several medical conditions can also lead to changes in the nose and skin. A conservative rhinoplasty may be an option for you and you may want to see a board-certified facial plastic surgeon or general plastic surgeon that specializes in the face!
