I have been criticised a lot for having very little space between my nose and lips. It just doesn't look natural. Would there be a way to increase it so I can have a better social life?

You should wait three months after a rhinoplasty to undergo the additional procedures of buccal lipectomy and a subnasal lip lift. That will give you adequate time to recover from your nose and ready to proceed with further facial reshaping procedures.
