Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. If you are an appropriate candidate for a tummy tuck, this can be done through a low and shortincision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars onthe exterior. Your muscles can also beplicated resulting in a flat abdomen. Recovery is usually 2 weeks to return to work. Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures ofreal patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluatetheir results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you arecomfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualifiedboard-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Hello! There is no "garden variety" tummy tuck - the types and lengths of incision, use of liposuction, muscle tightening - make each procedure individualized. If you have not yet met with a board certified plastic surgeon, you should - just to get an idea of what procedure would be best for you. Downtime depends on the procedure. I tell my patients they should be driving and doing non strenuous activities in 1 week, and walking is encouraged right away. Time off work can vary from 1-4 weeks depending upon the patient and his/her work situation. As far as cost, it varies a great deal region to region, and of course depending on the specific procedure performed. Anything that seems to low of a price - or too high of a price - should raise concern. There are great financing programs too, in case that might be helpful.Best of luck!
Hello and thank you for your question. The price of any surgical procedure will vary depending on what needs to be done, the experience of the plastic surgeon, and the country.Hope this can help and Good luck!
The fee for a tummy tuck will vary from surgeon to surgeon and in different parts of the country. You likely need a good two weeks to heal before going back to light duty, although some can do so sooner.
Tummy tucks usually cost 8-10K depending on where you receive care and the extent of the surgical procedure. Down time is 2-3weeks depending on what you need to be doing. If you are returning to a desk job, typically patients can take 1 week off of work. If you have small children, an extra set of hands will be helpful for 1-2weeks. All plastic surgeons have varying post op protocols. I recommend you visit with one of us and decide if the procedure is right for you.
Pricing for procedures vary by region, market, and surgical practice. Overall, tummy tucks usually cost between $7k and 15k, depending on whether you are having liposuction, an overnight stay, etc. Down time in my mind is defined by a couple of factors:1. How long before my incisions are healed? About 3 months for complete healing to closure and 6 months before the scar is reasonably mature.2. How much time do I need to take off work? About 3 weeks off work is typical for most tummy tuck patients.3. How long before I am back to exercising, sexual activity, sports, and the like? I usually advise 3 to 4 months to permit significant healing.Hope this helps!
i tell my patients that it depends on their level of fitness and their desire to return to work. Younger, more fit patients, usually return to work by day 10. Others may need 2 weeks off of work. Of course, it is going to vary with your job and how physically demanding it is. I have had very motivated patients return to work in 7 days. even if you return to work that quickly, it does take several more weeks to get your full energy back. Most patients getting a TT will also want at least some liposuction to their flanks. However, not everyone needs this. The average cost for the nation is going to fairly meaningless. A big city, like NYC is always going to be more expensive than a small town. Of course, costs will be a factor for most people but you definitely should not select a surgeon based on being the least expensive only.definitely insist on a board certified plastic surgeon. There is no such thing as a board certified cosmetic surgeondavid berman md
Thank you for your question. Average fee ranges, including facility and anesthesia fees, nationally for a tummy tuck are $7500-$10K. Anything less would be concerning. I often use liposuction on the bra roll and love handle regions to enhance the final shape as well. This could influence the final cost as well.Immediate recovery is typically one week and could include the need to remove drains or any minor stitches. Most of my patients are back to full activity by 4 weeks with no activity on the abdominal muscles (core exercises or sit ups) for at least 8 weeks. This is to ensure the stitches used to tighten the abdominal wall and muscles stay intact.Make sure you see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck with your search!instagram: @mesbahimd

The likely reason why it may appear flat is that you are swollen around your waist. Unless of course you had work on your buttocks.
Thank you for the question. It is essential for good nutrition prior to any procedure for healing. It is best to discuss this with your board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
