This is an important question.  After surgery it is best not to lie flat for the first couple of weeks since this puts extra stretch on your incision.  I usually recommend patients use a couple of regular pillows or a wedge behind their back and a pillow under their knees....

A tummy tuck is considered a cosmetic procedure. However, you’ve mentioned that you have issues with skin folds. If you have a pannus (an apron of skin hanging below the waist) this can be covered by OHIP. The procedure is known as a panniculectomy.

You could be bleeding, or maybe initial bleeding is becoming a serohematoma and you might well require puncture to drain the collection.
